Nowadays, most email providers offer a web based interface for managing email messages. But unfortunately, there are some email services that can only be accessed using 3rd party email clients, for example, company email servers. Even the web based interface is not always good enough or reliable for most users. That's why using a software email client seems like a very good idea. Microsoft Outlook is the most popular application for managing emails. But despite its popularity, the program is not the best around, having some drawbacks, for example, it's difficult to use, takes a lot of system resources and it's expensive, as it cannot be bought without getting the whole MS Office pack.

IncrediMail is a great alternative to MS Outlook and any other email software around. It's a simple Windows email client that features a very intuitive interface and allows adding an unlimited number of different email accounts to it. Installing the application is a piece of cake and using it is also very easy.

After installing and running the program, the user will see a graphical interface and a welcome screen, which allows configuring a new email account. The program supports the most popular email providers, like Yahoo, Gmail, Aol, Hotmail and so on, allowing the user to configure a new account for these services just by typing the email address and password. IncrediMail supports any other email provider, but requires entering the POP and SMTP addresses for making the email account functional.

After configuring the desired email account, the user can easily download all the email messages of the server by clicking a button. All the messages will be automatically synchronized with the server, so deleting a message from the program's interface will automatically delete the message from the server.

For avoiding getting spam or dangerous messages, IncrediMail includes an advanced SPAM filter, which manages to efficiently filter received messages. Besides receiving messages, the user can easily send them to any recipient. For making it easier to send messages to the same recipient, the program includes a Contacts feature, which can keep any recipient, together with complete information about him, like the name, phone number, address and so on.

Besides dealing with emails, IncrediMail can even act as a Facebook utility, allowing you to access your Facebook account in a much easier way than accessing it using the web based interface. For this to be possible, you only have to enter the email address and password used for connecting to your Facebook account.

The interface of IncrediMail supports various skins. There are some skins included, but more can be downloaded from the producer's website. Unfortunately, this feature is only available in the Plus version of the program.
